Rusty Steampunk Altered Box

Hello everyone!

Do you remember my previous altered Industrial box that I made from a simple wooden box – here is a link. As I was happy with the result, I decided to try myself again. That time my challenge was to make a Rusty old Steampunk Box. Besides I couldn’t wait any longer to try my new stash – a Rusty paste from Viva decor.
So again I bought a simple wooden box in a dollar store and I went crazy!!! Oh, I can’t describe how I love all these gears, chains and other metal stuff (I’m telling this every time – BUT this is true!).This time I also used a lot of chipboards, tones of mediums, sprays, paints and pastes.

I can’t wait to show you my recent creation:

This box looks so old and rusty…

A look from other sides:

And look inside!

  3. Wow, love it! Would you give us a little more info so I can use your techniques, actual products usee, etc. I have about 100 cigar boxes given to me by a cigar box collector. I would love to create one similar to yours. Thank you. suzschultz23(at)aol(dot)com

    1. Thank you, I’m so touched and encouraged that my work inspires you to create!
Unfortunately, I didn’t do any tutorial where you can see a whole process and techniques that I use.
About products that I use: as I don’t engaged with any manufacturer, I use different products that I have in my stash. But I see that you are interested in details so I will write you a more detailed answer at your e-mail address (that you mentioned above).
      Have a great day!
