Pink wood Canvas "LOVE" for Words&Paintery

Hi there!

Sorry for not being very active on my blog lately. I have big changes in my live - actually SHE is so tiny for now but all my time I spend with her :) Our family became bigger for one more girl - now we have here a castle of princesses :)

And today I came to show you my recent creation for April challenge at Words&Paintery.

A background wood I created from pieces of chipboard. At first I cut it on strips, gessoes them and then painted with acrylics. Oh, in the end I distressed all the edges with Tim Holtz Distressed inks. I glued the strips with the gaps to make the wood looks more textured.

Steampunk Canvas

Hi again!

Today I want to share with you my steampunk mini-canvas (18cm x 12cm or about 7”x5”):

I really enjoyed the process of creating this project. Steampunk is my favorite style of all time!

I love working with metal embellishments, to create an effect of antiquity with different paints and mediums – and having my hands dirty :)

Altered Mixed-Media Canvas ‘SEA’

Hello everyone!

I can't wait to share with you my recent project:

This time I altered the back of 3D canvas - I love the depth of it. I used my favorite color combination for the sea projects.

When we lived in France we used to go to the Atlantic Ocean every summer vacation. I can’t describe the beauty of Brittany ocean coast (region in the north-west of France). I wish I could share these feelings with you…

I love to relax watching the ocean. The sound of waves and a view of boundless ocean make me believe that the time has stopped and there is only me in the universe.

Mixed-Media Canvas "FALL"

Hello!
I hope you had a great week-end.

I've made something new.
This canvas was interesting to create.

For background I used old book pages which were glued with Mod Podge and then gessoed. After that I took a Dots stencil and transparent 3D Matte Gel to create some texture on my canvas. To add a color I sprayed Smooch Spritz and Lindy's paints. The first one is very shimmery, that's gave a really great effect on the canvas.

The trunk and every single branch of the tree were carefully sculpted by hands and then colored. Leaves were punched from different papers. A swing I made from a tiny peace of chipboard and burlap thread. And for more dimension I mounted a swing on the foam pads.
